Tomorrow...Happy...Something...

Tomorrow...I will dust and work our before I do anything "fun."

Happy...just heard we should be getting a paycheck this week, yay!

Something I know...winter will eventually turn to spring.

Currently...need to get ready for the day and accomplish something.

Wanting...not to have to worry about bills.

Favorite gadget...my new vacuum....it really sucks!!

Thankful...for our good health at the moment.

Wondering...if working out and dieting are really worth it???

Kaleb gets BRACES!!

Kaleb had his second orthodontist appointment this week. They saw him nine months ago and wanted to wait until he lost a few more baby teeth. This time, they were ready to go ahead with the first "phase" of braces for him. He was soooo excited that he woke up at 3:00am Thursday morning.

He is being really tough about them. He told me that they hurt only once (this morning). He is being a trooper about taking care of them and avoiding the candy and foods that he shouldn't eat, too. Now, when and if Garet has to get them, it will be another story!! Kaleb is getting the wire attached to his back brackets the day before we leave for Hawaii, so I am a little nervous for him!!

My New Year's Resolutions:

1. Go to temple at least once a month.....still have not gone for January.
2. Pay tithing first.....the family company now does this for us, so don't have this temptation any more.
3. Be more frugal......huh....I will start trying today!!
4. Be in bed by 10:30 every night. I've been getting in bed by 11:30 so far...hope to get better!
5. Work out at least five days a week. Been doing this faithfully, but have yet to lose anything. Decided today that I need to control my diet, too. Today was Day #1 of no snacking between meals. My goal is to lose 14 pounds. Yes, I DO have it to lose!!
6. Drink more water and less soda.....huh...
7. Have Family Home Evening every week. The first week we did this, we accidentally showed our kids an anti-Mormon video. Oops!! We thought it was LDS until we were about 15 minutes into it, then we checked the DVD and the cover. Even since then, we've been doing good.
8. Catch up on scrap booking. Scrapbook at least two hours a week. Have yet to do this one....been going through all of my "junk" drawers instead. I've got to get Autumn on this bandwagon with me.....
9. Spend a half hour with each child after school. Consciously thinking this when they get home, so I don't forget!
10. Manage time better....huh, again! I like to read way too much right now. I can literally waste a whole day reading!! I make sure I do my "chores" and work out before I reward myself with reading time......It's a constant struggle!!

Maybe if I let all of you know my goals, I can actually do better about accomplishing them! Here's to the New Year!!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub!!

Three kids in a tub!!

Jeff's Birthday!!

Jeff turned 33 on Sunday, January 13th. He woke up to breakfast. Then, we went to church. Later, we had his favorite dinner of homemade chicken cordon bleu and birthday cake. Since we couldn't find a money tree for him, he got a new basketball, some game books, and a weekend in Wendover.

Out With the Old....In With the New!!

Yes, I did get a new car last year, but non-intelligent me chose one that was way too small for a family our size!! Carpooling was torture!! So, everyone, meet our family's new addition:
"Big Red"
We love her!!

Bye-bye Hair!!

Today, I went to the salon and lost 9 inches of hair. I feel a little naked, but I think I like it!!

I really like the back the most. If I could be Cousin It, I so would!!

Good-bye 2007!!

We have had a great 2007, and we just wanted to share some of our families' favorites of the year:

Maddison:
Maddie loved the new world of food!! She is my first that will just dig in to anything placed before her. She loves yummy potatoes, where my older boys still have issues with the texture!!

Her second favorite of 2007 was the discovery of Elmo on Sesame Street. Elmo has the power to mesmerize her regardless of how sick/tired/grouchy she is. We love Elmo!!

Garet:

After much contemplation, he decided his 2007 favorites were: first, riding Thunder Mountain at California Adventure.

And, second, going to The Wooden Cottage Pre-school.

Kaleb:Kaleb's favorites were our trip to Disneyland. Most especially, the Screamer at California Adventure.

And his second was our New Year's Eve Party. It was great fun!!

Jeff:

Jeff's faves were going to Yellowstone with Bryan & Autumn and their family.

And going to Disneyland. He wants to go again as soon as he has enough money in his piggy bank!!

Me:

This was real hard, especially after reading Autumn's. In an effort not to copy hers, I'm going with: First, Our spur of the moment trip to Yellowstone. Sure it was expensive and a lot of driving with an infant, but it was a vacation after a relatively stress-filled summer. I think it did us all good to see the sights and get away for three days!Second, I couldn't not mention Laura. We are so happy she is in our family now!! It has been real fun to have her be part of our "Girl's Nights." We love her!!

Thanks to all who have been a part of our 2007. We are truly blessed to have such great friends and family!! We look forward to a great 2008!!
